Advanced Settings
You can configure various Cobra settings for all the supported categories and subcategories using the Advanced tab of the Application Preferences dialog box.
Process–Restore
This section discusses the subcategories and settings available for Process–Restore.
This table lists the supported settings that you can configure for the Bulk Data Loader method (previously called Oracle SQL Loader).
Setting | Description |
---|---|
BulkDataLoaderExePath | Use this setting to specify the location of the Bulk Data Loader executable file to avoid manually editing the generated batch file every time you run the Restore process with the Bulk Data Loader method. You must specify a valid directory in this setting if the file is not located in the Windows path. The default value is blank.
Note: This setting was previously called
SQLLoaderExePath.
|
BulkDataLoaderAutoRun |
If the setting value is 1, Cobra will automatically run the Restore process with the Bulk Data Loader method. If the setting value is 0, Cobra will restore all data except time-phased data for the TPHASE, COSTELEM, and BASEHIST tables. You must perform additional steps in order to load the time-phased data completely. Attention: For more information, see
File Restore with Bulk Data Loader.
The default value is 0. Note: This setting was previously called
SQLLoaderAutoRun.
|
BulkDataLoaderDateFormat | Use this setting to specify the date format to use when generating the time-phased files. The default value is
YYYY/MM/DD HH24:MI:SS. The default format includes quotes around the string, and you must include double quotes around any value you specify. The date/time format must match the date format used by the machine from which you run the Cobra processes. In an n-tier deployment, it is the n-tier server. You must not change the setting value for US machines.
Note: This setting was previously called
SQLLoaderDateFormat.
Warning: This setting should not be used unless advised by Deltek.
|
BulkDataLoaderOracleInstance | Use this setting to specify the Oracle instance name that Cobra will use when specifying the login credentials for Oracle SQL Loader. This setting only applies if
BulkDataLoaderAutoRun is set to
1. The default value is the Oracle instance name of the Cobra data source used when you log into Cobra.
Note: This setting was previously called
SQLLoaderOracleInstance.
Warning: This setting should not be used unless advised by Deltek.
|
BulkDataLoaderDeleteFilesAfterAutoRun |
If the setting value is 1, Cobra will automatically delete the CSV files, batch files, and control files after running the Restore process with the Bulk Data Loader method. If the setting value is 0, Cobra will keep the files. This setting only applies if BulkDataLoaderAutoRun is set to 1. The default value is 1. Note: This setting was previously called
SQLLoaderDeleteFiles.
|
BulkDataLoaderGenerateLog | If the setting value is
1, a log file is generated when the Restore process attempts to load the CSV data into Cobra. The log file path and name are included as parameters if
BulkDataLoaderAutoRun is set to
1. This can sometimes cause Cobra to exceed the legal command line length when it shells out to running the Restore process with the Bulk Data Loader method. The default value is
1.
Note: This setting was previously called
SQLLoaderGenerateLog.
Note: Deltek recommends that you set this setting to
0 after you successfully tested and confirmed that the Bulk Data Loader method is working and when using
BulkDataLoaderAutoRun=1.
|
BulkDataLoaderFilesOutputPath |
Use this setting to specify the output path for the Restore process when using the Bulk Data Loader method. This path will receive CSV files, control files, batch files, and log files. The default value is: C:\Users\<User>\Documents\Deltek\Cobra. In an n-tier deployment, the files are generated on the n-tier server.Note: This setting was previously called
SQLLoaderOutputPath.
|
UseBulkDataLoader |
If the setting value is 1, Cobra will run the Restore process with the Bulk Data Loader method. The default value is 0. Note: This setting was previously called
RestoreMethodForLargeTphase with a value of
4.
